Hard drive issue

Hi all
I have a back up hard drive elements H drive.
I go to open up the hard drive folder and it freezes all the time keeps saying Not Responding.
Any ideas why and wat i can do ?

See if it works any better in safe mode. At least for test purposes

Are you sure that you are trying to access the back up correctly?
What back up software are you using?

Have you tested your drive?

Here are the instructions for the Hard Drive test. I dont think that you will have a problem, but its good to test to be sure
