What is it? Who installed it originally?

I dont have the answers to your questions, maybe others may. But if I found a file in my computer until I was sure of its nature, I certainly would not just delete it. Since you computer is not working correctly, now
ue system restore, then we can make an anti virus scan as well as a malwarebytes scan and see if anything comes up.
We can go from there.
Regarless of what it is, if your computer is not working properly you did not remove it correctly.

My pc has not been working properly since a week ago or so and that's why I started looking for reasons/causes...and that's when I found Viewpoint folder which I do not remember noticing before.

Since I removed it, I have noticed noticeably fewer ads (especially those moving/blinking ads) but I started having probs with flash player playback in both accounts now.

I am hoping to hear fom somone else who knows about it and with experience about it.

Viewpoint Manager is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is installed without users approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad". Navigate to Start --> Control Panel --> Add or Remove Programs and uninstall the following programs if present.

* Viewpoint
* Viewpoint Manager
* Viewpoint Media Player
* Viewpoint Toolbar

It also installs itself as a service. Type services.msc in the start search box, click the icon to bring up the services window. Scroll down to Viewpoint, right click, choose properties then set it to disabled. Make sure it's stopped.

Now, see if you're still having problems.
