Solved Vista's Windows Calendar

Am using vista64 with Sp2
Lately I noticed inputing appointments into the calendar, it takes more time for the Calendar to accept what I input. When I select a reminder time, it takes along time for it to accept that too.
I am not getting any error messages, and have looked in my event viewer.

It seems like I am getting a new Vista problem every other day now. I just ran MS Security Essentials, and it says aok.

Suggestions are appreciated
Thanks,
Hasiel

Vista's Windows Calendar still slow-not like it was a month ago, both input and closing. Have done full AV scan, ran Malwarebytes (nothing bad), uninstalled Sony Vaio Care (computer a way more responsive, now), that was slowing down the computer. Done sfc /scannow three times, and ran chkdsk, no problems found. Still Calendar is bogged down.
Anyone know of Calendar registry tweaks? Other ideas to try?
Thanks,

Hasiel

On top of what Rich has said;

How long have you had your laptop?
What was the speed of the processor when you were using the calander?
Are you connected to the mains when you use the calander (the laptop throttles down to preserve power).
How many programs have you got running in the background?
How much memory is being used?
Have you installed any new programs lately?

These are all the basic questions that need to be answered to be able to speed up your machine.

Thanks for your questions, Rich.

I have spent hours today with MS, they have been all over my computer with EasyAssist, there is no performance issue regarding speed and response. They have run tests.

Only Windows Calendar is operating sluggishly. Three technicians have worked on it. I have spent hours today sitting in front of the screen, and watching.

My case has been forwarded to "Research" and they will be contacting me by telephone within the next couple of days. Hopefully... I will post their solution-if they have one.
I notice by searching... other people have had the same problem.

MS "Research" worked on my MS Mail Calendar
They first relabled \softwaredistribution file to softwaredistribution.old and then stopped and started BITS in Services, Windows Update, and Cryptographic, and then installed Windows Live Mail, had me go out of it back into MS Mail Calendar, and it worked like a charm- fast, for about 15 minutes and then sluggish again. End of story.
Have switched to a Firefox calendar with no hassle, and much better.
