Solved Help needed with reinstall error 0xA000000E

My av expired and i got a virus, when i renewed the av it didn't detect any virus' but was getting the blue screen of deaths within minutes of startup

I tried using the recovery disks i made when i first got my acer aspire 5735 and while they reinstalled ok i was still having problems with ie redirects and was unable to run windows updates so figured i'd not competely killed the virus.

I remember from years ago with win98 that some virus' required fdisking to completely get rid of them, i couldn't find this program but used something called kill disk to completely wipe my hd. Now when trying to reinstall from the recovery disks i get "error 0xa000000E" in the acer erecovery console when it tries to copy/load files.

I'm guessing this might have something todo with the partitioning and me nukeing the bootsec/mbr files. When i cleaned the hd there were 5 partitions.

When i try reinstalling from the recovery disk it only lets me install on the 9.77gb drive, not sure if this could be a problem??

What it is telling you is the partition you are trying to install on is too small.

Acer and vista reinstallation

Thanks for that free, i downloaded sfdisk and deleted the partitions, vista installed fine and it's up and running now.
