OK, so a while ago my windows vista has been warning me to replace harddrive error during start up ,"press F2 to continue" well that happened not too long after I bought the computer, so I assumed it was a mistake of some sort.

I've wiped my computer using windows Vista's system recovery once before.

Now every time I start it up my screen goes through the blue screen that allows the option to use the system restore, and then it goes to the error message saying "press F2 to continue". Like before i press F2 but now the monitor just goes black and stays like that.

So multiple times I've restarted my computer and tried to get windows to start up but after continuing past the error message, the screen always goes black and remains that way. I've checked the wires and monitor, nothing seems to be wrong.

So, I decided to wipe the computer using the system recovery... except when i push F11 for system recovery nothing happens..

I can press the other functions to access setup , but the function for system recovery doesn't work.

What do I do?

I cant see the computer, but going by your description, Id say that the Hard Drive is toast. If correct, there is nothing that can be done. The OS and your stuff would be gone. If Im correct Im correct, Im sorry about your problem
