Solved new hard drives not showing up

i just installed 2 new hard drives in my computer, but they are not showing up in "my computer"
be advised my tech level is fairly low , but the since the ones that were already installed were identical to the new ones. i just hooked up everything the same.
b4 we go further= i had a friend build my system 4for me but, he is no longer availble.
my system consist of q9650 quad core 2.83 mhz
mobo- asus stryker II extreme
8 gigs of ddr3
gtx 285 graphics card
2 western digatal cavair black 640 gbs set as raid 0 data striping,
and hopefully soon to be 2 more of the above hard drives set the same.

i was into the set up screen and did not know enough to get it done. any help would be helpful

but i tried regedit and that value was NOT showing , i added it then removed it. with reboot after each but no help.

i am formatting the disk as i type.. so we shall see
i'm gettting it to boot up with no problems.

Is this an extra drive? If so go to computer, right click and click manage,storage,disc management and do they show there?
