since i,m not smart enough to figure out how to fix my windows xp. it keeps coming up ntldr missing.i have tried every code that i could. but still don't work. so i bought a flash drive.i,m trying to install puppy linux on my windows xp. but i can get my flash drive to work on my windows xp. can someone please tell me how i can get my flash drive to work.

sometimes you may also have to assign a drive letter.
start,
right click computer,
disk manager,
look to see if letter assigned,if not assign a letter, good luck patch41

i think i left out my windows xp wont boot. from windows without ntldr coming up. i can press f2 or f12 . but not sure how to change bios to get flash drive to work.

OK, When the computer first starts you will get a message across the bottom of the screen to enter the boot menu, or system configuration, on my computer it is either F1 or F12
When you get there you need to put USB to the top of the list by using the arrow keys.
Press the key to save and exit. then restart.

OK i no i sound like a complete dummy. but when i press f12 three things come up. drive configurtion/ hard disk drive sequence/ boot sequence. do i change one of these to usb

Yes boot sequence needs USB at the top then press whatever key it says to save and exit.

ok i down load / USB.it has four files to unzip. i want to put on flash drive./doc system file/putonusb/hpusbf/read me.which one do i open to put on flash.
