Giving file permissions

Hey Guys I need to give my self and others users on this computer file permissions, now I know how to do it just that since there are a bunch of files I do not want go through each and every file to give permissions...Anyone know a short cut?

Hello can you not just left click the first file then go to your last file hold down the shift key and click the last file at the same time and then send them to the share file for all on the computer.

same thing those files still need user permissions on them, dam Windows Vista and 7 suck and file permissions, does this now mean I have to go thorough all these files to give permission?

It's not really clear to me specifically what needs to be accomplished here.
Is this so that everyone has access?
Would copying the files to the Public folders suffice?

If it's a matter of removing a Read-only attribute, that can be changed as a bulk process.

Beyond that I haven't seen anything promising on changing permissions in bulk.
