Clearing index.dat files

Looking at upgrading my current system and selling my current. Wanting to know if I used the trial version of Mil shield 7.8 to clear the index.dat files and then do a system restore to the factory settings if that will take care of it?

My Computer

Download
Temporary File Cleaner
and
Ccleaner, use them to clean the drive
Then restore to factory settings, you should be good to go.
Im afraid to tell you to do a zero format, since that may effect the factory restoration, unless you are restoring with a DVD.
System restore does not return factory settings, it will go back to what you had, to 3 months at most. It is just the OS and not your stuff.

Use a zero format only, if you can still restore to factory specs with a CD. Zero format, is the safestest way to remove your stuff.
