Hey guys heres whats up. I origonally had winows vista home premium on my laptop and ive managed to completely scrub the drive of everything (dont ask how!) I dont have an original copy on disc to get vista back. However i do have an iso of vista, i tried to burn it to dvd with powerISO and it all seemed okay. When i put the disc into my laptop i can hear the disc drive working but it just gets stuck on a black screen with a flashing blip in the top left! and ideas on what i can do?
when i start it with no disc in, it says "no operation system found" :(

Well yes, I reasoned that if you could get into safe mode, to check then if anything else was at fault.

Thanks but i cant even get onto safe mode without any OS at all. I made a vista recovery dvd and it worked fine in my laptop, i then tried creating a vista home premium dvd and it dosent work for some reason, any ideas?

You said earlier when you put disc in you could hear it working?
What sort of noise was it making, normal or abnormal?

I am just wondering if you actually have problems with your HDD?
Have you tested it at all, or had any other problems recently, with other programs?

Hi Jordan
Your hard drive appears to be missing thus vista installer is unable to extract it's files in it. I'm not considering that it has crashed but i'd suggest you to try Ubuntu Live and format your drive with ntfs file system.
