    error 1935 an error occurred during the installation of assembly

    So it all started when i was trying to install Itunes and right before it was done installing i got this error "An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,version="8.0.50727.4053",type="win32,publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x800736b" . So i do some research and learn that i need a newer version of microsoft visual c++ 2005. I try install that and i get this 'Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly.
    Microsoft.VC80.ATL.type="win32".version="8.050727.4053"."publicKeyToken"="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b".processorArchitecture="X86"

    Ive also noticed some other strange things such as my windows module installer says started and i cant stop it so i think theres something wrong with that and everytime i put in sfc/scannnow it says windows resource protection could not preform the following operation. My windows updates also dont work i get code 80073712.



    Please help me I have some skills on the computer but they are somewhat limited but im sure i can follow the instructions.

    Sorry nothing, thus far has helped.
    Did you try sfc scan in Safe Mode?
    What is available to you on the computer?
    What is the model & make of the computer, the more information we have on your specs the better.

    You may have read this link also:-
    The "Windows Features" dialog box is empty in Windows 7 or Windows Vista, or you receive error code "0x80073712" when you try to use Windows Update
    It will depend on where or what you are able to do on the computer that will maybe determine what can be achieved.
    If no sfc, probably no systems restore.
    System Recovery may be the answer?
    I have to be away from the computer for a good number of hours now.
    But there are very able & skilled members who will I am sure, help you in any way they can.
