Most likely I have posted to the wrong forum......

Home Premium, SP2, IE9, WLM 2009 ver.

Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor says my computer is ok to upgrade.

Question :
Will the upgrade keep my WLM 2009 version or is it going to get wiped out ?
I don't want the 2011 WLM either. I had it and I prefer the older version.
I need to backup my WLM first ?

When changing OS and or adding new software it is always advisable to back up your system just in case something goes wrong.
As far as WLM I don't have an answer for you as I don't use WLM. Sorry!

If you upgrade (which you should not do, you should clean install), you should not lose the mail; if you clean install back up first..
You will have a window.old if you upgrade, which is a back up.
Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version - Windows 7 Forums
An upgrade will continue with any and all problems that you currently have.
Upgrades very rarely are 100% satisfactory

Even with an upgrade, to be completely safe you should back up.

I have not made up my mind yet.
In Canada, it's almost $200 for Home Premium Win 7 family pack.

Please be advised. It is still possible that you will lose the WM program, but the mail should be safe. If you do not want WLM you may be interested in many other free email clients, such as Thunderbird.
