I am new here, so hello to everyone!
I am hoping someone can help me with an issue in Windows Photo Gallery. I have already searched the net, including threads here, but I am still stumped.
I am looking at my pictures in Windows Photo Gallery and on every one of them, individual and/or within a folder, there is a bright green box with a white check mark in it on the lower left corner that hinders viewing the thumb nails, even though I have them set to "extra large icon" under the "view" option. The larger the preview picture, the larger the box with checkmark. It takes up a good fifth of the thumbnail, and often I can't even tell what the picture is and have to click and open each pic to see what it is exactly.
One other thing I have noticed is that if I am in ControlPanel>Personalization>Desktop Background, then it is a bright turquoise box with two white arrows within---if that helps to describe my situation. I've noticed that even documents on my desktop also have the turquoise box w/two white arrows.
Can someone please tell mehow to eliminate these boxes with their checkmarks and arrows?
