Solved Windows Vista Aero NOT WORKING

Alright guys, I downloaded Win7 and didn't like it because it made my Dell Latitude D620 really slow.
So I got Vista back and lost all of data due to downgrading.

Vista Aero worked the first time and when I restarted it for some updates [pretty sure the updates have nothing to do with it] They were simpler.

It says I still have Aero and Vista basic, but when I click on them to change my theme, they appear blank and also when I click apply it just makes it look like Windows Classic. I've also tried that Microsoft website that can scan your computer for issues with Aero. It told me that DWM was not enabled even though it was and Aero is not compatible for the theme I had [which was Aero, but it looked like classic] Thanks for the help guys! I love how you guys reply so fast!

Thanks for the update ( literally ) screenshot, wow you been busy! One I see can come out later once we have you going, I hope?
So please let me know at what stage are you at?
Have you or are you going through the other links on the Windows Aero website?
Like colour (English spelling) , video card drivers, etc.
Have you been to Device Manager to see if all drivers are up to date for your present system?
Look to see if there are any little yellow warning signs, if so click on them & install/update as necessary.
From the manufacturers site direct.
I don't know for sure but maybe, everything that worked for Win7 doesn't work for Vista Ultimate, worth checking?
Maybe that's it for the present, please advise as you progress.

Haha, my laptop isn't the newest one out there, but I make the best of it.

Alright, so I did a System Restore a little bit back. So there's about 5 updates that are "important" that I did not update yet.

I have tried all the options you gave and it came up blank. haha I know it's not your fault, but I do have hunch that it might be this "Biometric Coproessor" deal. I checked the device manager and it was the only one with the yellow "!" on it. It's says the driver is not installed. I clicked "reinstall drivers" and it said the drivers cannot be found.

hi richard, i'm just going to go out on a whim now and ask you to place the files in this zip folder into windows/system32 directory, just unzip and place into that directory and restart your computer, hopefully you should be able to re-enable the theme after that and then we can focus on the other problems :-)

Guess i was expecting a conclusion to this one. I think Vista had disabled Aero for security reasons (!?) because it had been previously patched. So... did repatch do the job? Lol: i was ready to give you a few of my classic/standard themes for inspiration. After all how long have we used those ?
