Destop blank after On

Anyone know of how to resove the problem?

Problem: After window update is performed, the start up menu(program list) turn blank, so are the things on the desktop not to be found.

Hello Quekwei,

Restart the computer to see if it is still the same afterwards. If so, then you might see if doing a system restore at boot using a restore point dated before this happened may be able to undo and fix it for you.

It wasn't the solution I was looking,
it was some virus or script that cause e files on e desktop to be hidden, aside from that some app on e com are affected but some aren't.

Is there othe solution to it?

the files were hidden on the desktop so the desktop was blank but the thing I did was remove the driver from the computerand pluck into another one. Thereafter the files then appear on the desktop after I plug the drive back into the computer.
However the some app fail to work.

it's some software such as tweetdeck and downloaded.exe
for that I 'd try to reinstall but it didn't work out too.

I have not consider doing a reboot so yet as I 'm looking for solution.
