Hi everyone,

I have a friend who apparently changed her password and cannot remember what it is anymore..so she's unable to login.



Password Reset disk was never created
Administrator account is disabled (by default)

I'm wondering..is their any way I can get into this machine without having to reinstall the entire OS? I'm not too familiar with Vista...is there a way I can restore it to an earlier date and just use the old password to get back in?

I tried and actually can't go this route...to access the System Recovery Options in order to do a System Restore requires me to log on with a user account (which is my initial problem)...and Administrator is locked.

Any other options or ways around this?

1. You can try this...
Boot into safemod with the key F8 it will lode some files.
After loading the files it will give show you TWO accounts (a) Administration (b) your account. At that same point select Administation account beacuse by default its without password and then login to the windows and change the password of your user account.

2. Visit this like Ophcrack ... download it onto other computer make it bootable with power iso link : PowerISO - Reviews and free PowerISO downloads at Download.com and boot it, it will give you some easy options through which you can crack the password and use your account.

3. If nothing works then repair or restore your vista with installation disk.
