client.ini.json.part on desktop

Hi guys,
I was enabled viewing of hidden files and folders and on my desktop i have noticed a file named client.ini.json.part that takes up a considerable 354mb. I understand that part files are incomplete ones and so is it safe to delete this file? and where has it come from?
thanks
macca

Even with Google I could not find the source of that file. It would be my suggestion until you know definately the source, I would not delte it. I would make a full anti virus scan and a full scan with malwarebytes.
Worst case scenario, the file may be a problem
Hidden files are hidden because they are important and should not be changed or touched, unless put there for hurtful purposes. I have also found any file that is not mentioned in Google may be a problem.
I suggest those scans.

I would make a full anti virus scan and a full scan with malwarebytes.

Full scans are running on both malwarebytes and AVG internet security, will keep you posted on results

I have just noticed, after looking at that post the massive difference between size and size on disk, any reason in particular for that?

Virus Scan Results:
AVG Internet Security: No issues returned
Malwarebytes: There was one infection, a dodgy registry key "MyWebSearch" which is a program i have seen on friends computers being pulled up by security software and I have now cleaned and removed it but I think this was unrelated to my problem and the file still remains

Now where to look for answer as to the source of the file i have no idea...

Lets start with the logical, if it is not malware. Did you install any new programs about the time of the created date? Look at you CP install uninstall. Go to search programs etc.

Did you do anything to adobe about that time.
Does CS5 mean anything to you, in reference to adobe?

Based upon research, cs5 is the source of client.ini.

Hello,

client.ini file is related to spyware. Your computer's security and privacy may be at risk. I recommend you run a scan of your computer to detect any spyware threats. Just download spyhunter spyware scanner and run a full updatted scan.

Download SpyHunter's Spyware Scanner

Always be sure to back up your PC before you modify anything.

Thanks.
Arvin

At this point I would take Arvins suggestion. Although I initially thought that it might be spyware, your scans showed nothing. Arivn is suggesting another scan with different software. Right or wrong you cant take chances with spyware.

I googled that site. I have WOT on my computer; it warns of possible problems. All references to spyhunter site are marked off with dark black circles; means potential problems.

Heres the problem. My research indicates it may be part of cs5, which means to leave it alone
Arvin says it may be spyware, which has to be removed. Maybe we should get Jacee to help. She is a real expert in these matters. She will be away to about the end of the week. Interested?
