Need Help

New Member
I made a new account on my Toshiba laptop and switched over to that one deleting my old account. I received a message that my copy of "Windows is not genuine". I went to activate windows with my key and it comes up the the message Error 0cC004E003.

I've been throughout this website nothing has worked. I've recovered my computer as far back as I can. I've uninstalled updates and reinstalled them. Nothing has worked.

I am currently running on Windows Vista home service pack 2 which has expired, is that the problem?

May I suggest another approach if the above does not work
Go to the computer icon on the desktop, right click and then properties
If you see the Microsoft Activated emblem in the lower right corner or you cannot get the the properties section, call MS and explain the situation.
If there is no emblem activate by phone

If the computer came with Vista preinstalled, just call the computer manufacturer
Once activated nothing is suppose to expire.
