Can't get .LOG to Work in notepad w/ Vista

Hi,

Thank you for your help.

When in ALL M$ OSes since '95,
when typing in .LOG into notepad
and saving the file, closing it,
then Re-opening the file,
it will get Date/Time Stamped and
the cursor will go to the line below it.

Unfortunately, this does NOT work
w/ Vista.

Any reason why?

Is there a way to FIX it to work
the way it USED to work?

Thanks,
Christopher

Thanks pacinitaly,

Actually, that is what *I* have already and
it does NOT work in Vista.

The Text file has:
.LOG
on the FIRST Line of the file
and saved.

When clicking on the file,
ALL that is Displayed is:
.LOG
on the First Line...
NO Date / Time Stamp like it's SUPPOSED to have.

Any Ideas on how to fix this in Vista?

Thanks,
Christopher
