HI
I am not technically minded in any way shape or form...I keep getting a box that says microsoft system inspection has stopped working....can anyone shed any light on this?

Hi and thanks for the reply...sorry its take so long to get back.
I have run two full virus scans with malwarebytes and microsoft essentials. No viruses detected. I am now unable to do a system restore.....not sure whats going on at all.

Hello Ellia and welcome to the forums :party:

I don't know if you're infected, so don't get alarmed when I ask this!

I am currently doing a malware removal degree and I am unable to offer my assistance with any malware removal during this time. I am trying to get to grips with the logs from this program and I would really appreciate it if you could do the following for me please:

OTL

Download OTL to your desktop.
Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed to let it run uninterrupted.
When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
Under the Standard Registry box change it to All.
Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post it with your next reply.​
