Help please none of my programs are opening (running vista)!!

Last night my programs were running fine.
But today I tryed running Mozzila Firefox and it would not open. None of my programs would open, no task manager, security, nothing would open.
Not even the notepad.

I system restored twice already and did a system repair too.

PLEASE PLEASE
HOW CAN I FIX THIS PROBLEM!

It sounds like your associations may be messed up. Downloading and merging the exe and lnk (LNK) options in the tutorial below will restore the default associations for these, and hopefully fix your problem.

If it were my computer, I would try the solution suggested by Brink. Then regardless of the results, I would make a complete anti virus scan and then install and make a full scan with Malwarebytes.
You do not know the cause of this unexpected problem and it is always wise to rule out the presence of any malware. Be sure to update to the latest virus definitions before making the scans. Good luck

Thanks it helped but there is still 1 problem.
I cant open Firefox it is the only program I cant open, I try to uninstall it but it will not open the uninstall thing... What is the problem?

Using IE can you download revo to help you uninstall. If you cant uninstall FF, just make another brower your default and you can effectively forget about Firefox.
