I'm new and not sure where to post this, so just thought I would start a new thread.
Here's my problem..be prepared to be confused. I will start at the beginning and try to keep it as short as possible.
In Feb my computer crashed. I took it into Staples (warranty) to get it fixed. I paid extra to have everything backed up, especially my photos as I am a pro photographer. Anyway..all he backed up was crap..downloads and music..thats it. The he wiped out my pc and reinstalled vista. Well when he did this he somehow managed to create all these "user" accounts. My main user account is one thing (BatesFamily), there is another called something else (Kristen) and yet one more that is named something else (kristen.kristen-pc). Everything goes to, as in downloads, goes to the kristen.kristen-pc and makes it almost useless...such as java..
here's the kicker...when I go to my user accounts through the control panel...all that is there is the BatesFamily account which is of course administrator. So I can't seem to do ANYTHING with these other accounts...I need everything to be in one account.
I wish I could show you all what I am talking about. I will not take my pc back to Staples since I lost a ton of money and time that I can never get back and now I seem to have no trust in techs at all so don't want to take it anywhere..
if any of you are understanding any of this and have any suggestions on how to correct it PLEASE do...I am desperate. It is messing with my business because it is preventing java from working right and I need java for ordering prints for clients.
