PNG files problem

New Member
My computer has three user accounts. One of the three accounts is not able to display .PNG files in IE7. The other two accounts display fine.

I am not sure when it has started. Maybe I have installed something and it's gone wrong.

The problem is that I cannot upgrade to IE8, because the application I need for my job supports only IE7.

Please help me how to solve PNG problem.

Have you tried making another user account and seeing if the problem still occurs?

I have created a new account, but it cannot show *.png files.
I have given a wrong info before: I have three (already four) accounts on my computer and the png-file could be opened only on one of them - under the administrator accounts. As I created the new account it does not matter if it is the administrator or standard one - it does not show png's
Pls help

When I tried to do the step 1, when I do "Merge", I get the error message "Cannot import .... Some keys are opened by the system or other processes"
What should I do? All the applications are closed

I don't know, I've never heard of that error message before :( Just forget that part then, it was a long shot anyway

Did you try resetting IE?

Sorry. The error message I got because I have forgotten to merge as administrator. I have done it. Then I reset IE. It has not helped.
Look under one of the accounts the IE shows png-files without any problem.
Maybe something is wrong with the user profile?

Try my above suggestion, if that does not work, create a new user profile and see if you have better luck.

We've already tried making a new user a few posts back :)

Then just try with a clean boot.

I do be leave, that if IE 9 Is Installed rebooted and run. Then you could Uninstall IE9 and then reboot.
At this point try to reset IE8 restart the Browser to see if it has rectified the issue.
This is my first go At this
If not try A "System File Checker"-SFC In Command prompt("CMD").

Steps are here for SFC scannow option in CMD
