i have attached a screenshot of my first problem. heres the sitch..i got the dreaded blue screen the other day. i re booted in safe mode and ran a virus/spyware scan. there was two threats detected and subsequently removed. now my vista toolbar on the bottom goes from what it normally was (black) to what you see now, the grey bar and cant see the programs/windows that are open. it also messes up the address bar part of the window to the same affect. any idea how to stop this from happening? also another un-related problem, when i search for something in google, no matter what link i click, i get re-directed to something else. and i have went through my internet options/advance and made sure "enable third part re-direct" is unchecked. any idea? the programs i ran as a scan are malware bytes and ad-aware. thanks in advance

Is it too long for a post? As in, does it exceed the limit, not does it look wrong.

If it is too long, then copy and paste it into notepad and save it as a text (.txt) file. Then attach this with your next post :)

Thanks for the file :) It fitted fine in a post, so I've posted it for Jacee. Personally, I prefer having it on a webpage because my Firefox is set up to allow me to search the entries on SystemLookup when I right click on them. I don't know which Jacee prefers so I've given her the choice :)

You have HijackThis! in RSIT, but nevermind that log.

Download CKScanner by askey127 from HERE
Important - Save it to your desktop.
Doubleclick CKScanner.exe and click Search For Files.
After a very short time, when the cursor hourglass disappears, click Save List To File.
A message box will verify the file saved.
Double-click the CKFiles.txt icon on your desktop and copy/paste the contents in your next reply.

Did you also follow my instructions? ... IF CF won't run:
During the download, rename Combofix.exe to sVchost.exe
