Recovery drive issues...:(

Hey there,

I have a Hp Pavilion DV9000 notebook with a low memory issue. My D: drive shows it's low on memory (in the red zone). I have gotten into the hidden files on the D: drive, but I am cautious about what I do here. I am wondering if there is a list of the folders and files that should be here. Im thinking I have a file in here causing my problem. Please HELP!!!

If you're not sure about which files to keep and which files to remove then it's probably best to leave them alone, chances are that if you delete any files, then the recovery(if and when needed) will fail, there are a couple of options for you though, clear your cache on your browser (can take up to 2GB), remove any unwanted programs via programs and features, or disk cleanup(right click computer and click properties, dick cleanup is on the left). hopefully that should give you a bit more space on your primary hard drive.

Will this work to help my D drive though since that is where my problem is? My C drive has tons of room still available. I have defraged and cleaned everything I can find. Would be happy to try!!!

possibly, it really depends on whether you've installed any programs on the D:/ drive, if you are 100% certain you have adequate backups of your OS then go ahead and start deleting, but if you're still a bit worried then it's better to leave them be :)
