Hi all I keep getting a thing saying memory is being used up.

I have Windows Vista premium. Is there a way that I can free up memory usage?? Also that is would make my computer faster. I already have 2 GB memory that is the most I have gave any ideas?:)

Go to process tab
Tick show all users
Then click on the top of the memory column and look at whats using the memory. Give us a screen shot.

Hi Rich I already ran all the scans it is all good. Just to let you know. The AVG tells me memory usage is running high. Also I looked at the page which was the link and I have none of those problems that shows I have bad memory. It is nothing like that.

Thanks

Take the memory test. If thats negative. Follow the procedure for the task manager. We will get to the bottom of this.

Thats a good one and I may need it, but give me process. It will show what is using the memory.
Be sure to check show all users.

LOL go to process tab.
Then click on show all users
Then click on the memory column to bring the top users to the top, so I can see

BTW you ARE using 99% of your memory. We must do something.

Good pic
This is what we have to do
Since you did not take the memory test, we will assume that your memory is ok. If it were me, Id take the test, it cant hurt.
We must either reduce usage or get you more memory
The first problem I see is the anti spyware, the second entry. That uses way too much memory. Dump it and get malwarebytes. Dump AVG and use Microsoft Security Essentials. Make a system retore point first, so you can go back if we have unsatisfactroy results
Now how do you work?

We are here to help. If you need us to go slow no problem
Read the instruction for the memory test in my first post, its easy.
Personally, I think memory is ok, you just have software that uses too much.
Here is other stuff you can do

] Disable Windows Vista Aero.
Right click on the desktop and hit personalize. Choose window color and appearance, and change it to "windows vista basic".
2] Disable Superfetch
Hit windows + r (run) type in services.msc and hit enter.
go down to superfetch right click and choose properties. Change it to "disabled" and ok out of it.
