Disk Space Error

downloading a 1.6gb file into c/ and getting a Insufficant disk space message. over 100gb free in c/ and i cant free up any more dickspace as far as im aware..

Go to the my computer icon
on the desktop
Left click on the icon. Look at the drives, how much is left?

i dotn have that icon on desktop, how can i look at them another way?

OK Are you sure that you are downloading to C?

Yeah i have been doing this same download for years basiclly just doing a reinstall of the program and vista decided to hit me with this message, it will let me put very small things into c/ but this 1.6gb wont work ;(

just tryed a Nvidia driver update and of course that failed its in c/ ;(

Still Error with Settings to max diskspace for downloads and same error with firefox ;(

Make a full anti virus scan
If you can download malwarebytes and make a full scan. Update them first.

After the scans, if you can, download windirstat and lets take a good look at that drive.

Full Scan was Run and there was nothing detected any other ideas?

A full scan with an anti virus and a full scan with malwarebytes, at least an hour.

yeah the malwarebytes took 28mins 15mins alone on adobe xD, any suggestions for a free anit virus? avg?

Could be a problem with the Hard Drive. Back up all your stuff, just in case it fails. Test the drive

Well the obvious results are, 1min.13sec-C: 100%, 128.8GB, 226,032 items, 195,103 files, 30,920 subdirs.
