InstallShield problem

Hi for some reason my InstallShield Setup Launcher keeps crashing when I try to run some exe's. Just a short while ago everything was working fine, but now I'm getting these crashes every time I go to run some of my exe files.

For example, when I go to install a game, I briefly see a message "Starting InstallShield Wizard", and then another message pops up saying "InstallShield Setup Launcher has stopped working". When I click "Close the program", a third message pops up from the taskbar saying "InstallShield Setup launcher was closed: To help protect your computer, Data Execution Prevention has closed InstallShield Setup Launcher. Click to learn more."

I tried disabling DEP, and I tried System Restore, but neither helped. I tried every possible compatibility combination. I even tried updating to the latest InstallShield installation engine, but it crashes when trying to run the IkernalUpdate.exe . I've been searching for hours for a solution but have not found one. Please help, thank you.

Try running a full anti virus scan
Download and run a full scan with malwarebytes.

Thanks for the reply. I ran a full virus scan and no threats were detected..

Also, I just ran "/sfc scannow" (in cmd, as suggested on another site), and at the end of the scan, it said there some corrupted files but was unable to fix. Not sure if this is related to the InstallShield issue, but either way, how do I go about fixing these corrupted files? I can post the scan's log if anyone wants to see it.

Could running Disk Defrag be a possible fix for the InstallShield issue and/or the corrupted files issue?

When errors are found, run 3 times. If that does not work a repair install is usually warranted.
