MS Works Copy/Paste problems

Hi guys! I always find help here... unlike the post I was prompted to put at the MVP site via Microsoft!!!
Here's the prob.. I use Microsoft Works (being cheap I refuse to pay for Office!) and I am now facing a recent problem where I cannot copy highlighted text from Internet or even a previous email (no matter how small the amount)... and then paste into a word processor page.

I get the message: "The information you copied exceeds the size limit for pasting into Word Processor. Try reducing the size of your selection, and then copy and paste again."

Any thoughts, ideas or comments?
Kate

You will like it Kate, just like MS Office
You must also remember that there are size limitations to copy and paste. If you have an extremely large text, you have to copy in two pieces.

Well that's the crazy thing... I mean whether I'm copying 3 lines, or 3 words the dumb thing says the same thing about size and it only started doing this a few months ago. When I asked the Microsoft HelpLine... they had no response and were in a dither when I said I would ask VForums!
p.s. still not sure how to use the center icon thingy it keeps saying I have to "spread it around" huh?

Richard! sooooo sorry to get back to you so late. Had some computer probs but ok now and just downloaded Open Office and started playing with it. LOVE some of the built-ins and much easier to use that the Microsoft Works stuff. Noticed that if I convert the openfile to an Office 2007 file it won't carry everything like a sound link but that's minor. I just sent a crazy (everything on it hold the anchovies) file to a friend to see if she can open it without any difficulty. Will let you know but for now... Looks great and thank you so much!
