Hello, I'm new, I hope I'm posting in the right section. Please forgive me if this is in the wrong place.

Anyway, I want to know how to get a upgrade disc so I can upgrade my computer to Vista Ultimate x64, I got an anytime upgrade pack some time ago and forgot about it until yesterday, I found the case & key but the CD/DVD is missing. I need a replacement and so far Microsoft is of no help.

Can someone help me?

I've tried that before, and it doesn't help.
here's a screen shot of each step:

I got to welcome center, anytime upgrade, it asks me to compare versions of vista, and then it sends me to buy Windows 7.

I just need a upgrade disc, I do not want to buy windows 7.

Well, hmm. you have Vista prem. but just want to up to Ultimate. I don't think you can if the upgrade window you got to does not offer a higher Vista . You may have no choice but to go to Windows 7 .. Unless , someone has an idea i am unaware of. I defer to other users advice. Sorry.

There are several things to try. You just need a DVD, you can borrow from a friend or even an enemy. You can contact Microsoft and ask for one at cost, about $25.00 or you can contact the manufacturer of your computer and try to get one for cost. As the previous suggestion, make sure that your computer can handle Seven and then just buy the ugrade Seven. Its about $130.00.
Seven has better security, additional features and it will be Supported by MS, for many years after Vista is no longer supported.
We have members that will suggest that you buy the cheaper OEM version. This is against the EULA agreement between you and MS, in your situation you are not entitled to the OEM and you should stay with the upgrade version.

TY.
I'll call Microsoft and see if I can get a replacement DVD.
I don't want to go to Seven tho, I use it at work and I really don't like it. I know Vista has alot of problems, but I've come up with ways to get around it all. insecure? I have excellent security software and am careful online. hogs resources? I have plenty.

Hi, You say you want to stay with vista, and your stats say you already have vista premium, i dont think you can upgrade any higher, unless you change to windows-7, upgrade is usually from vista basic to premium, good luck.

My Computer

i want to go to vista ultimate, premium doesn't allow me to join domains, use more than 16GB of ram, and some other obscure features I occasionally use. Ultimate version includes everything and supports the most stuff. there really might be a day when I buy a 24GB triple channel kit and I would be upset that Home premium refuses to use my purchase to its maximum. or I go with one of those insane dual CPU setups (around 2015, i expect) which is not allowed with home premium.

What Patch is describing is an upgrade with an upgrade DVD. This is not the way to go. All old problems will remain. With the upgrade DVD do a clean install, which you do lose your stuff, which should be backed up. Dont save a little time now, which will cause bigger problems later on.
