Hi,

I am trying to download a file which has a korean file name, but whenever I download it, the filename becomes weird characters like this: »þÀÌ´Ï ¿¬¾Ö ½Ã¹Ä·¹ÀÌ¼Ç °ÔÀÓ (¼öÁ¤ÆÇ).alz

This is the link that I'm downloading:
샤이니 연애 시뮬레이션 게임 (수정판).alz

As you see above, the filename should be 샤이니 연애 시뮬레이션 게임 (수정판).alz

Also, the file has an .exe file which is actually a game. The game has dialogues and words in korean and again, the characters appear in those weird scribbled ones. Please help.

Actually this does not only happen in Vista but also in XP. Also, I do not have a korean computer.

Hi,

Can you get the file from another source?

What game is it?
What other information do you have about the file, source & the purpose of the download.

This will help us to evaluate your best options. OK?

As a final thought: -

Take a look at the "Accessory" "Character map" on the start-up menu & see if that helps you?
