Help with Pics required

Been having this issue for a month or so now, and cant seem to get it fixed...

Basically, whenever I go to save a picture from the web (google...anywhere) the only format it lets me save in is Bitmap or PNG, for some reason Jpeg is no0 longer showing as an option to save the pics (which is a pain as it means I have to rename every picture then save etc)

The only thing I have done differently was a while ago i had winzip installed for a file, used it, and then deleted it (thinking this may be the cause of problem)

I am running everything as updated as possible etc (wibndows explorer latest and all the updates as and when they are available)

Is there any setting i can change to be able to save as Jpeg again ??? any help much appreciated.

Okay,

I opened another admin account, let all that load up, and opened google again, picked a picture that stated it was a jpeg (on the right hand side) - right clicked to "save as" and again the only options to save were Bitmap or PNG ??

Okay, ran the first part and got -
"windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them"
Then ran the ssecond part of the sfcdetails.txt - it placed a document on the desktop, but had no content !
And from then on, every of the other commands entered did nothing ??

With Paint, you can easily change the format. Just open the pic in Paint, then "Save as" and select .jpeg.

In addition to what WHS has posted, have you ever looked at Black Viper and checked for settings for your Services ? Black Viper's Website has services settings , when you get some time , you may want to check yours out, it just seems as if you have some disabled , somehow.

@WHS thats all good and well, but an ache, as every time, I would have to save the picture, then open and then resave, I use a lot of pictures for research, so this would take up WAY too much time, but thanks
@ Yard Dog, I dont really want to reinstall vista etc, I have too much on the pc to risk losing, but will try the black viper site and see what happens.

@Yard Dog...just a little informatuion Ive just received, unsure as to if you know anything of this, but...apparently theres been a lot of speculation recently (and for some time now) that with the updates to iphones and itunes apparently iphones have been optimizing for png rather than standard jpegs, and theres talk that if a person has itunes latest version and updated to iphone 5.0+ (such as myself) this may be giving the problems i am having ? just thought id run this by you while I have the information
