Silverlight End of Life

Hi,
Secunia is reporting my Silverlight 4.0 to be at end of life.
I don't know why it is not being updated.
Should I uninstall and download the 5.0 version?
Or, Should I just uninstall and live without it?
I am non a web developer.

I just received the same notice. I downloaded the new, without uninstalling the old, and it works great.
If you want Silverlight, get the updated version.
It is not necessary for your needs, but if you have the old, might as well just update.
