Hey guys, i'm completely new here. I have a problem when i use print screen into any application, when i paste it there are a lot of black bars going through the image. Around 15-20. It kind of seems like Vista has an option preventing me from print screening any image. This also works when i try to capture video footage on my computer using fraps or any other video program. Any ideas why this is happening?

Go to search and type snipping tool, its better for printing and you will like it.

Snipping tool has the exact same effect when i print screen with it. grabbing an image for you. This is what happens when i use anything that involves print screening from my desktop, including snipping tool or trying to video capture. Any ideas?

Your printer has a test printer function. Use it, does it print properly?

No, it prints out the exact same image. I don't think it has anything to do with my printer? Any video image i try to capture does the exact same thing. It's basically the bars i get when vista is asking for administrative permission for a program, except it affects anything i am trying to capture on my screen. Any idea?

Hello, you may want to try this : System Files - SFC Command
Maybe a file or two are corrupted or missing, give that a shot.

Update the driver for your printer, that is the most likely cause.

Another suggestion might be a corrupt or outdated graphics driver, if you let us know the brand and model # of your desktop or laptop we can find the latest driver for you.
