Scroll bar click and go, instead of page down?

Hi,

I want to change my scroll bar so that when I click somewhere in the bar, the page scrolls to that spot, instead of scrolling in that direction one page at a time.

My vista is a Japanese version and I am not sure how to find out what version it is. I can find the control panel and such, but images would help a lot.

Thanks for any assistance. I can provide further information if needed, but I also need to know how to find the needed info...

go to Control Panel\System. The first item should describe the OS description.

I don't think you can change that behavior. The scroll is set to scroll one page at a time when you click above or below the scroll bar. You can grab the scroll bar and move it to go faster or just hold down on the down or up button to scroll continuously. Of course, I'm talking about a vertical scroll but the same applies to a horizontal scroll. If you know what you want to go to, then most programs have a search/find function and web pages have the find option (control f). Of course, if your mouse has a wheel, you can use that to scroll.

Nice find. It's called Scroll Here in English. I missed it. However, based on what I can find, it's only applicable when you are using something called a ScrollViewer. You could start here- ScrollBar.ScrollHereCommand Field (System.Windows.Controls.Primitives).

It's beyond me. Maybe one of the people in the forum who are more knowledgeable can explain it.
