So, just the power button does not light up, even though it functions ?

If you are comfortable at checking it out yourself, you could confirm the electrical connection is seated properly, If it is, then you would need to have the led bulb replaced , would be my guess.

replaced led, still neither lite working. problem must be back to M/B

Maybe not though, local guy can probably bench test it for you cheaper than the big shops.

You can check it yourself if you are competent with a voltmeter. It depends on how in depth you would want to go.
If you are happy to pay 30 bucks because you do not have a good voltmeter (which would cost more), I understand. If you want to learn how to do it let me know. It is simple electronics.
