Solved browser minimizing when i tap scrollbar

Hey all, new to the forum and I have a question.

Not that it's destroying my laptop but everytime I tap the top of the scroller on my laptop it minimizes my browser. This just gets so inconvenient when I'm trying to click a link and I accidentally click on the scroller and my browser minimizes.

I'm sure it's something simple but Google has yielded zero results. Anyone have an idea how to stop this from happening?

Welcome
A little variation of your problem (windows opens in new size with new Window) is as old as the hills. I think the solution to that problem would work for you, too.

No, that isn't it. When I tap on the top right corner of where I move my cursor it resizes my browser. Does the same with My Documents, Computer etc. It doesn't open a new window just shrinks the one I have open. Like I said it isn't doing any harm just terribly inconvenient.

If the font actually gets smaller, its the resolution.
May be a bad driver
Go to search type device manager.
Update drivers for monitor and graphics (display)

He didn't say that it shrinks the font. I believe he means that if he clicks in the wheel it minimizes the page.

Under control panel click on mouse. Look for any options that say wheel button. How this page is displayed depends upon your mouse and it's features and can vary. If a setting is there for wheel button perhaps you can change what it does or even disable it. For my mouse there is a minimize option under the wheel button and it does just that. For that button I have it set as middle click.

townsbg is spot on, however I don't see that option. I see horizontal scrolling and vertical scrolling and that's it.

It definitely seems like a feature to me of sorts that I don't want to be on there.

A-ha, I found it. Took some sleuthing to find it but it was under "top right settings". As simple and selecting the option "do nothing" Thanks guys.

We are glad that you got it sorted. I will mark this as solved
