System Restore Failing

Hi I've recently been encountering a problem with my system restore on my computer.I originally tried performing a system restore as I had a virus after which some of my programs weren't functioning properly, Kasperky later deleted this virus and my computer is generally running well however I would like System Restore to start working again for peace of mind. This system restore failed and displayed unspecified error 0x080070003. I don't have Norton and have already tried performing System Restore in Safe Mode but it still doesn't work :(.

If you have a Windows Vista installation disc, you can boot off of thatand try to restore from there. Also, have you tried using a differet restore point?

Hi richc46 I think my System Restore is turned on as my main drive C is checked and I also think that I have enough space on my hard drive because I've got 52 GB free space. Is there anything else wich could be causing this problem?

Hi richc46 I've tried doing the System Restore in Safe Mode and with my anti virus turned off however with no success, the same error appears again.

Hi richc46 I've repeated sfc /scannow three times with the same outcome: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
I've also attached my CBS log if that's any use.

Go to search and type event viewer. In viewer go to administrative left panel. Then look at the right panel and look for errors at the time of the problem. Any mention of Restore problems (vssadim)?

Hi richc46 I went on Event Viewer and I think I have found this error, it is dated around the time when my problems occured so I think it's what you meant. I've attached a PDF with some screenshots of the error if that helps.
