Alright for a while now (possibly a few years) my drag and drop features been acting weird. Whenever I move an icon it would drop as if though I let go of the button (even though I havent) (Same happends if I highlight text)... It was not big deal as it only happend on rare occasion but lately its just became unbearable.

Heres a youtube video if my explanation is difficult to understand.

Issue - YouTube

:Edit:
Should also add:
1.) Not once do I let go of the button while dragging.
2.) Its not a virus as i've scanned my pc with multiple programs.

:Edit 2:
It acts as if though I let go of the button and then clicked agian.

Hello and welcome . Go to Control Panel and open up Mouse and see if it shows working properly. if it does. check settings to ensure they are set as you would have them to be . You may also check in Device Manager for driver update.

Checked says everythings workin fine and no driver updates.

P.S.
Meh... Seems like and incredibly wierd problem so chances are there wont be a solution anytime soon.

Is there a sensitivity setting you can set for the mouse, maybe back it off a little

Nope... Just things like pointer and double-click speed (along with varies other options that have nothing to do with it). =/

I would consider buying a new mouse.

I would consider buying a new mouse.

I would second this.
Sounds like the most logical first step. I can't see anything else being a cause besides possibly loosened in the port that its plugged into.
