I have determined my Task Scheduler is corrupted (mcupdate) and as a result my system randomly hangs up and I have to resart my CPU. My question is, how do I fix or replace the Task Scheduler without reloading my Vista OS? I have had this computer for about 4 or 5 years so the backup OS I have is very out of date and will take my lifetime to get current not to mention the loss of date that could occur.
And I might add it hangs up just when I don't want it too - go figure.
