Hello,
I sent my laptop to get a new hard drive installed, it came back with windows vista home premium, even though i had purchased vista professional when i bought my laptop. Shall i send it back or attempt to upgrade to windows vista professional using the 25 character code available on the bottom of the laptop?

Welcome,
I would, first, discuss it with the shop that installed the hard drive. You are entititled to the same OS, that you originally had.
If that fails, you can contact the manufacturer of your computer and explain the situation to them. They will send you a CD, at cost, that can be used in conjuction with the Number that is on the computer.

Thank you, i'm sending it back to the shop, they wil re-install the vista business version.
