I have had my laptop for almost 5 years and this is the first time I have a problem where I got a message saying Desktop Manager not responding. I recently had to upgrade my virus protection and before I could they said I needed to update my service pack to 2. After I updated the service pack and installed my virus protection I started to get the message Desktop Manager not working because of a problem. I was just wandering how I could go about fixing the Desktop Manager problem? I hope this makes sense as to what I am asking. I hope you can help me. Thanks.

When you start up, are you getting your Desktop? Is there something else not working?

Go to Control Panel\Administrative Tools and select Services. Find the Desktop Window Management .... and start or restart it.
