Hi all,
Need a little help. Just had a catastrophic HD failure (3 years on a Seagate SATA 500GB day in and day out finally gave up the ghost). Glad I had sense enough to install a second drive with Vista Ultimate x64 with SP1 & SP2 when I built this thing and left it disconnected. All is working fine.
Questions:
Where in regedit can I find my serial # for this copy of Vista (I own 2 retail copies and I don't know which one was on which drive)?
Those annoying arrows are back on my desktop icons...I think there was a program on this site that would get rid of them. Been a long time and I forgot how.

Jakeman, I find it useful that when I have a problem and then a solution is found, to make a note of it in my own "techtips" notepad file. That way, if I ever run into this problem again in the future, my techtips document will inform me of what to do.
