Status Bar on IE 9 and Documents Folder

I recently reinstalled Windows Vista Home Premium from my DEll XPS 420 disk and downloaded IE 9. I now get what is called a Status Bar at the bottom of IE 9 and also when I access some files inDocuments Folder. How can I eliminate the bar?

    Thanks,
    Jerry

    Welcome
Go to the bar at the top of the screen>right click>untick status bar. Good luck.
You should, also, see other choices, tick and untick the ones that are wanted or not wanted.
