Explorer is blank

As of recently the "My Computer" icon went missing from about twenty computers that I control through smartlaunch. I went to enable the icon and it is grayed out. When I use Run>Explorer The pane is completely blank, there are no drives visible. It seems as if "My Computer" has been disabled. Any information you can provide me on this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time,

Preston

Preston,
From your brief description it seems that your registry may have been changed by Smart Launch.
It would be my suggestion to correct the problem, even if not due to registry, with System Restore. This should remedy the situation. If SmartLaunch is indeed the problem, it will return.

Thanks for the speedy response. I came to the same conclusion, unfortunately I do not have a restore point far enough back to predate this occurance. Also this computer is used in a lan computer gaming center and I cannot spend the time reinstalling the 100+ games on this computer. Can you think of any other option? Thanks again,

Preston

Wow... 100+ games? That's a lot!

Without a backup you can rely upon, you're going to have to do this the hard way. Once you're done, definitely get yourself Macrium Reflect and make a full back-up in case another problem arises in the future.
