    system recovery options -not available

    hi
to start with i have this "please wait while the connection is beeing established"virus which means i cant access anything even in safe mode.
My question is this i cant access system recovery options in the advanced boot menu(accessed by pressing f8 while booting). Also i get no recovery options while booting from the packaged recovery disc(all i get is install which i cant complete even if i wanted to because i havnt enough disc space)i have read the system recovery tutorial on these forums and in method two i get the screen in part 3 but i dont get the screen in part 4.Where do i go from here to get the system recovery options?
I am running Vista home premium 32bit

Hello, and welcome. Why not start out with seeing if this virus can be dealt with ? Put malwarebytes antimalware on a media and have it boot to that first. You could put it on a dvd/cd or flash drive and set Bios to boot first to get it to run . Free version here : Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer

Your fantastically fast yard thanks again.
okay on boot options in bios setup doesnt recognise flash drive as removable only as a 3rd hard drive so if i set the flash drive as 1st hard drive then move the hard drive to boot first i just get an error message while booting"reboot and select proper boot device or insertboot media in selected boot device and select a key".I'm starting to think that out of the top floor window option is looking to be the best bet

Hmmm, in case you have a hard drive issue.. see if you can save any data first using this : Use Ubuntu Live CD to Backup Files from Your Dead Windows Computer - How-To Geek
Then from there maybe you could do some diagnostics : How to Set BIOS to Boot from CDROM » www.hiren.info ( just to double check ) there is a hard drive diagnostic here : Hard Drive Diagnostic Procedure

thanks again for your quick reply yard.
looking at the 3 options you have given me.
Maybe its me being dumb to start off with.i have no trouble setting bios to boot from discs or hard drive etc what im not sure off is if i have downloaded progam to run properly.i have downloaded and installed program to both CD and flash drive what happens is boot just continues to load windows and ignores my media.have i missed something should i burn program to disc or run program and set as a bootable disc i dont understand how it would boot up and run a program without some kind of instruction after all all thats on the media is a bunch of files.how do you set up a disc to be read while booting.
Sorry to be such a noob normally i love playing about with the internal workings of computers but this is getting really annoying.

I sincerely apologize.. just checked at malwarebytes forum. and it will not boot .. load windows normally, then insert the media and have it run the program.

Can you on the advanced boot option get any of the options to work.. if it will go into command prompt we could run this : System Files - SFC Command
