I lost my capability to scan using MS Paint when I had my PC cleaned for viruses. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? I'm using an HP all-in-one printer that is not compatable to Vista but like I said it was working great using MS Paint until I had the PC cleaned.

Would uninstalling it and then reinstalling work? I have the disk.

Hi,
First look to see if it is listed in the control panel Scanners & cameras section. If not, try to add it there, failing that yes you have nothing to loose. OK?

It's not listed in the Control Panel Scanner and Camera. Do you know if I can follow the installation Wizard and add it using the disk?

I have a box that says to copy manufaturer's files from E: I selected ok then another box opens with all the hp files. I'm not sure what I'm suppose to do from here.

I am downloading the set-up files & will point you further but for now, look for a .inf Set-up file which points to the drivers for your scanner.
