Can only run programs as admin

The computer did some updates Thursday night and booted correctly and was working without any problems Friday afternoon. There was a bluescreen error/crash (it didn't trigger a MiniDump log, but usually a crash is related to some graphics drivers that won't stay fixed) and on the restart, it didn't boot fast enough for the computer and went to CHKDSK. CHKDSK replaced a bunch of drivers with generic ones, citing errors. That's the first time CHKDSK has replaced drivers.

It finished booting up and the following said they could not run at startup:
cfp.exe (Comodo)
apoint.exe
quickset.exe

When I tried to run Firefox, it refused and gave me the following error code:
The exception unknown software exception (0xc000000d) occurred in the application at location 0x71748676. Later, it's switched out the 0x71748676 for 0x72048b76. Chrome also gave an error message.

I also have the error codes 0xc0000022 and 0xc0000142.

I did a System Restore, figuring it was associated with the update.

The same error messages popped up on reboot (though it didn't have to go to CHKDSK).

I discovered that nearly everything works fine if I run it as admin. I have manually changed permissions for all users, but that hasn't fixed anything.

None of the above errors show up in Safe Mode/Networking. It is also only able to access wifi in Safe Mode/Networking.

I have run sfc/scannow (three times), but it says it could not fix all the errors and that's correct; it hasn't. Startup Repair didn't change anything, either.

Avast and Malwarebytes scans are coming up clean and the tabs open at the time of the crash were my Windstream email and Facebook.

I think it's related to whatever CHKDSK did, but beyond that, I'm an idiot.

This is probably going to seem rather stupid of a question but have you disabled UAC?

To disable it on Win7 : Disable UAC in Windows 7

to disable it in Vista : Disable User Account Control in Windows Vista

If you haven't already tried that, try disabling it and rebooting.
UAC is User Account Control. It's that window that pops up every time you try to run anything asking "Are you sure you want to allow this to run?"

Sometimes disabling that can fix A LOT of admin power related issues.
Sorry if this doesn't help you at all, but it's fixed problems for me in the past.
