Question from one of my college alumni.....
His son bought a Vista OS product key from Amazon.
He is building a computer, and he wants to know how does he verify if the key is valid ( not counterfeit ) without installing the OS ?
His computer is not ready yet.

If he bought the key from amazon then it should be valid. If he bought it from a private seller through amazon then it might or might not be.
