Attempting to rename files in explorer moves the view to the next column

to the right, in list view, meaning that if i try to rename a file in a folder with a lot of files, i can't actually see the changes i'm making.

If you drag the right hand edge of the Name column to the right, you should be able to see your changes.

hmm. unfortunately, that's not working. pressing f2 continues to move the viewpoint one column over in list view even after the 'name' column has been expanded in width in details view.

I have a feeling that I'm not understanding the exact problem. If you click on the name of a file to change it's name or right click on it and select Rename, the name of the file should be highlighted in a color consistant with your display settings for menus/folders/files. They highlight in blue on my setup.
